Micro-credentials
Micro-credential – in accordance with point 5(a) of the Council Recommendation of 16 June 2022 on a European approach to micro-credentials for lifelong learning and employability 2022/C 243/02 (OJ EU C 2022 No 243, p. 10, as amended) is a description of the learning outcomes that a learner has achieved through a small amount of learning. These outcomes have been assessed on the basis of transparent and clearly defined criteria. Learning activities leading to micro-credentials are designed so that the learner acquires specific knowledge, skills and competences that respond to social, personal and cultural needs or to the needs of the labour market.
Micro-credentials are the property of the learner and may be shared and transferred. They may stand alone or be combined to form larger credentials. Micro-credentials are subject to quality assurance in accordance with agreed standards within the relevant sector or field of activity.
In the project the participants (students, PhD candidates, academic teachers) will need to finish a course and pass the micro-certification exam to receive specific micro-credentials. At that point, this website will provide details on receiving confirmation documents for the micro-credential.
